Peggy Olwalo
Peggy Olwalo is a passionate communications and climate advocacy professional, currently
serving as a Program Associate at CAVU. A proud Kenyan, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in
Public Relations and Communication from Mount Kenya University and began her career at
Africa’s Talking, a leading Pan-African technology company. There, she specialized in
communication infrastructure, APIs, and emerging AI-driven solutions, contributing to innovative
digital tools that enhanced connectivity and supported businesses across the continent. This
experience gave her a unique blend of technical and communication expertise that she now
applies in her climate advocacy work.
At CAVU, Peggy leverages her background in communications, technology, and AI to advance
climate education, youth empowerment, and sustainability initiatives across Africa. She plays a
pivotal role in the Climate Innovation Challenge (CIC), working with students, educators, and
communities to design and implement youth-led environmental solutions. Deeply committed to
climate justice and grassroots storytelling, Peggy uses research, digital media, and advocacy to
inspire action and build resilience. She thrives on collaboration, creativity, and the power of local
stories to drive global change, and remains dedicated to fostering innovative, community-driven
solutions to today’s climate challenges.
