Lucy Sullivan is a student at New York University studying environmental studies and politics, and has built her academic and professional career around environmental justice and community-based advocacy. A thoughtful researcher and communicator, she is passionate about making complex climate issues more accessible and empowering young people to see themselves as part of the solution.

Born and raised in Wilson, Wyoming, Lucy developed an early connection to the outdoors and has maintained an interest in how climate change affects communities and ecosystems on the local level. Outside of work and school, she enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling, and being outdoors whenever she can. Her work has included environmental policy research and climate education, as well as research on the impacts of flooding across New York City. Lucy believes that storytelling and clear communication are the best tools for translating climate science into meaningful action.

At CAVU, Lucy supports education programming and outreach for the Climate Innovation Challenge. She believes that students’ ideas, creativity, and lived experiences are essential to building a more just and sustainable future.
