Maria is originally from Mexico. She moved to New Mexico during the fall of 1999 with her little sister and mother. She then attended the University of New Mexico where she was the first one in her family to obtain a college education degree with a Bachelors Arts with Marketing and Communications.
Maria first became involved in community outreach during her sophomore year in college where she was one of the founders of a high school tutoring program chapter through UNM. She has also served in a few international mission trips at her church, and is part of the worship ministry where she enjoys playing the guitar.
She enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her son.
