Helping Costa Rica’s Environmental Court Fight Degradation

The Tribunal Ambiental Admistrativo (TAA) is responsible for administering and enforcing Costa Rica’s environmental regulations. CAVU’s on-going partnership with the TAA provides a means for them to consistently and accurately assesses environmental damage.

A recent CAVU flight focused on the Southern Zone of Costa Rica and allowed the TAA to identify and document suspect activities through the use of GPS photo-imaging. Numerous illegal activities were detected and subsequently the TAA was able to conduct ground based site visits to determine the extent of the damage.
