As many of you know, CAVU launched a multi-year campaign in Belize this February, including both flight and film projects along the country’s hallmark barrier reef. Unplanned development, over-fishing, and climate change all threaten this magnificent resource and those who depend on it.
But Belizeans are poised to act – and CAVU is using its unique set of tools to help them catalyze change. Our comprehensive package of 6 educational films and geo-referenced aerial photographs of the reef and coastline speak to the issues directly impacting the reef and highlight clear, and attainable solutions to ensure long-term sustainability. The toolkit will be launched, and screened, for a wide-range of local audiences in Belize this fall – including politicians, NGOs, schoolchildren and community fishing groups.
