Emily Barrett just moved to Costa Rica, joining the CAVU team full time.

With a number of Outreach Campaigns currently in the planning phase, and with a leap in internal growth for CAVU occurring in early 2009, Principal Writer Emily Barrett has relocated to Costa Rica.

Emily will be living in San Jose until May 2009, and working in her current role as grant writer, communications lead and project reporter. She will also be assisting Executive Director Jordan Vaughan Smith with project planning during Jordan’s maternity leave, and be available to travel throughout Central America as needed on behalf of CAVU with the film team or with Flight Director Michele Gangaware.

Emily will be involved with projects at every stage: planning, creation and implementation. She looks forward to exploring the beauty of Costa Rica and is happy to be out of a Pacific Northwest winter! President David Smith says, “I’m excited to have Emily here during a period of growth for CAVU. She will help immensely with our team’s efficiency, especially during my wife’s anticipated four-day absence for the birth of our daughter.”
